When you list a book for sale, and a purchaser clicks on the ‘Buy From Seller’ button, or when you click on a ‘Buy From Seller’ button when making a purchase, your name and email address will be emailed to the other party in the transaction. We may use the information you give us, and that we gather from your activities on the site, to send you information on new services offered by ourselves. Sometimes we send carefully targeted offers to selected groups of customers who have indicated that they are happy to receive this information: when we do this, we do not give those businesses your contact details. You can change your mind about receiving such offers at any time, and notify us by changing your preferences on your My Account page.

We therefore advise you to ensure that your username does not immediately identify you as an individual, or provide others with an easy means of identifying or contacting you eg we suggest you do not use your email address as your username. Use and disclosure of your password and username is entirely at your discretion, and you accept legal responsibility for all activities carried out on and off the website in relation to your username and password.

In the same way, if you choose to use any of the services provided by any other organisation which you access through any sort of link to or from our site, the disclosure of personal information to these organisations is your responsibility.
