How to Buy Second Hand Books

STEP 1:
To buy second hand books on AcademicBookTrade.co.uk, you will need to register: registration is free and only takes a few minutes. If you are already registered you will need to login. We suggest you do this before you start if you think are likely to buy. Registering means that you agree to our Terms and Conditions for both buying and selling, so it is important that you read them carefully.

STEP 2:
Use the search box to look for a particular book if you already know what you are looking for, or browse our categories to see the ranges of books on offer, and latest additions.

STEP 3:
When you've found a second hand book you want to buy, you may also want to view the other books for sale by that seller, particularly if you are looking for a number of books in a particular subject area. When you have made a decision, simply click on the 'Buy from Seller' button: this commits you to buying that book at that price from that seller. You will then see a confirmation screen to confirm that the transaction has taken place.

STEP 4:
Check your email: you will receive an email confirming the transaction and giving you details of the seller. It is then up to you contact the seller and arrange the exchange of money and books.

STEP 5:
After two weeks we will send you an email asking you to leave feedback on the seller. They will receive an email asking them to leave feedback on you as the buyer.
